So i've got a question. Everytime i hammer the throttle (not all the way but about 3/4, i need to do it sometimes to merge onto the highway because when i turn right on my frontage road, the highway entrance is very close) from 1st gear, my truck will shift into 2nd then 3rd then stuck at 3rd. I have to shift down to 2nd manually from the knob and then put into Drive, then it will shift into 4th. It only does this whenever i accelerate hard and the truck is in 2nd gear going into 3rd. If i’m cruising at 6th and i have to pass somebody, it'll do just fine shifting down to 4th then to 6th again.
I don't know how to describe it properly but that's the best i can do.
Something's wrong with the transfer case? Transfer case motor? Transmission? I can shift from 2h to 4a to 4h to 4l no problems.
And, here's the real deal, when i went to race somebody at a red light (real story), i full boosted launched it in 4H sport mode and it full stuck at first 1st. I lost to a Ram that time😕

First things first if you're having transmission problems might want to stop racing people because that puts a crazy strain on the transmission. It sounds like Syncro that bridges the 3>4 gear is worn out if its stuck under load but your going to have to take it to a mechanic you trust so they can help because it could be a lot of things and theres no way to tell for sure online. But sounds like you need a trasmission rebuild...
