My dad has a 2015 accord with 45,000 miles. It has the Earth dreams 2.4L I4. I heard that these burn oil. Do you think that my dads car will be burning oil in the future. He changes it with syntheitc oil every 5k miles. Do you think he should sell the car cause he already has a lot of accidents on it and beats up the little 4 cylinder pretty bad.
Great maintenance is the key to a long life out of any machine, cars included. If he is hard on it and not doing maintenance, then I'm sure he is not going to get the best out of the car.
I wouldn't sell it unless he plans to change and do what he is supposed to do for maintenance. Would be a waste of money otherwise.
Oil changes are his only maintenance. My old man knows nothing about cars and beats them up really bad. He should have gotten a v6 because he accelerates really hard and turns really sharp and is someone who needs the extra power. He even wore out the parking break as it is really easy to put up now and has had like 2 accidents in 3 years and really messed up the body of the car completely. There aren't a lot of 59 year olds that beat their cars up like he does.
