- Hi Scotty my vehicle just started to over heat today and I lost powersteering at the same time while coming home from work , I live in Nevada and it just started getting cold yesterday. first when I got outta work I use my fob to unlock my trunk to connect my subwoofer speaker but my headlights stay on till I turn them off but I didn't, then connected my sub woofer to my speaker wire ,then drove to car wash then on the home notice my power steering lost power then looked at my dash board to see why I lost powersteering and noticed my car started to overheat and my battery light and temp light come on during this situation I park somewhere till it cooled down a little luckily I was at the corner of my neighborhood and drove it to my destination after it cooled down at least a quarter over then normal heat temp ,but still the problem kept happening with no powersteering and overheating I had the 2015 jeep for 7 yrs already so was woundering if you can help me out please if you need to contact me let me know thanks .

sounds like what would happen if you broke a serpentine belt
