No tire pressure on instrument panel

HI Scotty,

Thanks for your informative youtube channel. I bought my Lexus LS460 after your feedback.

I am hoping this is a small issue that you could guide me. My TPMS system is not working. Basically, the TPMS information is not showing up on my display. When I go through all the options on the dash to display the information, it is missing the Tire pressure.

I am assuming it is the TPMS MCU which records the tire pressure for all tires. Is this fixable by buying MCU online and replacing. OR do you recommend taking it to the dealer to hash this out.

Thanks in advance

My TPMS system is not working.

did it ever work?

no. they will take your 1st born, and claim there are 40 other things needing replacing.

All you need a good independent mechanic with proper diagnostic tools.

rather than jumping to replace the most expensive part, start with low hanging fruit. Maybe the sensor batteries are just dead.

Do you recommend any good OBD tool?

recommendations are in the FAQ

Unless you suffer from severe OCD, just buy a $15 digital tyre pressure gauge and call it a day.

The problem is that TPMS option does not show up in the display. It used to and one fine day, it went off. Before that I used to get all the information. I can understand if 1 or 2 or 3 tires did not show up due to battery, but not all 5 of them.
