I have a 6 cyi. the engine was replaced at the dealer for free. The check engine light came on, according to the code, Crankshaft position sensor. I changed it out, the light went out almost immediately. Now the check engine comes on and off at different times. The car runs great, no problems. What would cause a check engine light to come off and on?

Do you get the same code? If so, check the sensor wiring and connection.
