Lexus manual recommends replacing spark plugs at 60K miles. I've run plugs in Toyotas to 100K. Is 60K really needed?

If the people who built it say change it at 60k, change it at 60k. It's just plugs. When you start stretching your maintenance, you start inviting problems.
