Im a regular working class guy who is cheap. I wanted to know are Lexus's for the rich or well off when it comes to maintenance and way down the road repairs ? Because I have a deep interest in the lexus gs350's years 2006 to 2014 and or The Lexus Es350 2013's and 2014's?
The GS350 years above cover 2 generations with the 2012 MY technically being the beginning of the 4th (and now discontinued) generation - it wasn’t until 2013 MY that it was offered here in the states. The 3rd generation was 2006-2011. See link below for some issues people have reported (it won’t be comprehensive but gives some insight):

For the ES350 the 2013 was the second and 2014 was 3rd MY in that generation (6th Gen).

Ideally, it’s best to get a vehicle later in the generation to make sure issues have been addressed. Also, the GS350 is RWD and the ES350 is FWD, so there will be completely different driving dynamics. The GS350 will also ride a little firmer. Make sure you test drive both, and check the Lexus Forums for any detailed issues. Whichever you get, make sure you have a good, trusted mechanic check it out before you buy.
The GS350 is also AWD.
Rich people buy Bentleys. Lexus is for the white collar guy, and Toyota for blue collar.
No, but when you need things fixed parts tend to cost more than a Toyota vehicle. That being said, they don’t need repairs as much as other luxury vehicles and can last a long time if well-maintained. If you go used, you at least have let someone else take the depreciation hit so don’t have to worry about paying that cost.
Routine maintenance will cost more at a Lexus dealership than an independent garage. For warranty work the Lexus dealer is, of course, where you need to go. I have a 2013 RX350 and I have it serviced at a Toyota dealership. It's a little cheaper than the Lexus place.
