i heard it's direct injected, yet it is considered very reliable, also the transmission, it it true?

Those are pretty reliable cars - a friend of mine has a 2014 with that 2.0L engine and he has had zero issues. Since it is GDI, you do have to use intake valve cleaner to keep those valves clean (I think Mazda recommends the CRC intake valve cleaner). If you're looking to buy one, I would still recommend a Honda Civic with the 2.0L engine. But, that Mazda should still be a reliable car
