Hi, my son saved up some money and is wanting to a 2015 Mazda 3 with 98,000 miles on it from a private individual. It is his first car. We went and looked at the car. Nice shape. Engine had no strange noises, struts seemed fine. Drove nicely. Automatic transmission shifted smooth. I don't own an OBD II scanner so wasn't able to scan the car. Wanted your thoughts about buying the car. Love your YouTube channel. Many thanks! A fan in Dallas, Texas.

You need a good mechanic to inspect the car before purchase to determine whether it is indeed in "nice shape". Buying a used car without so much as scanning for problems is foolhardy and asking for trouble.
