They're pretty reliable and just like OG Scotty said, as long as it's well taken care of, it won't be a bad idea whatsoever! Since that year (2015), Mazda has improved and gone a long way. If you ever think about buying one, I highly doubt you'll regret it!
Mazda has gotten better and better ever since the split from Ford.
I am a fan of Mazda. I have owned plenty of Hondas and Toyotas. However, no vehicle has gone further which such low repairs. Honda's always seem to need timing chains, valve adjustments, VVT maintenance - more than other vehicles. I would take a Mazda over a Honda. Just be aware, dealerships are some time further away and after market parts (if they exist) are more expensive.
