My son is looking at a 2015 Mazda CX-9 with 70k miles. The car fax said that it had front end damage and under cararage damage. They want $13,000 for it. I told him to have a mechanic look at it. What should I suggest to him?

Tell him to start looking at other, accident free vehicles..

I would pass, with modern cars and all the tech on board who knows what other collateral damage (perhaps not obvious yet) was done especially to the sensors and electronics including the ADAS (Active Driver Assist Systems) which has to be carefully calibrated. Hopefully, he is looking at other vehicles too, I know it’s tough in this market.
