Can this engine come out from the top without the transmission, with relative ease? I am Not a mechanic, but have changed engines before. (30Years ago)
any tips would be greatly appreciated.

No. When you have to take out the motor, you can't just take it out like that. You have to be very careful not to break anything. You have to unbolt the transmission from the engine.
