2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel with 170,000 (automatic) - #3 glow plug failure. I don’t have the code. Dealership told me glow plug needed replacement - while doing that, they broke the plug and now can’t extract it from the head. They are telling me that the parts minus head machine shop cost (because they can’t find a new head) will be in excess of $5700, plus labor, plus machine shop. Is there a way to remove the plug without tearing the head off? I really don’t want to spend $10,000 on a 10 year old truck with these miles - although I really like the truck!

The dealer screwed it up, the dealer should fix it.

They broke it (amazing they even admitted that), so it's their responsibility to fix it. If they won't listen to reason put on the gorilla suit. Take them to small claims court if necessary.
