Hello Scotty! Love your channel. I have a 2015 Toyota rav4 with about 97k on it. Manufactured in Canada. At low rpm’s while driving it has a clatter rattling coming from the engine. Did some internet research and sounds like it might be related to the timing chain. Any advice? Thank you!
If it is from the timing chain, you need to replace it. It is an expensive job. Take the car to a mechanic for diagnosis.

When hearing any noise from the engine, the first thing to do is check the oil level.
has a clatter rattling coming from the engine
Probably just VVT actuator rattling at idle, pretty typical for Toyota products.

Experience shows that when chains stretch, it's not cluttering and you can hear it the entire rev range.

But if you're unsure, As far as I remember, these have an inspection hole on the side of the timing chain cover that facilitate checking how much the tensioner has extended (aka. how worn is the chain)
