Is it a regular 6 speed auto?

How many miles are on?

When have you changed the ATF?

Open your hood and check it, it’s the red dipstick (Assuming it’s the 6 speed) - post your findings on the forum so we can assist you.

In theory, assuming your fluid is fine - you can do a relearn procedure.

(Hyundai-Kia’s 6 speed does have a tendency to adapt well to upshift smoothly but often do not adapt well to downshifting without shift shock.

The fact the values your car initially used now cause such a shock usually incites that either your transmission rad is dirty and it has been running hot, or that your fluid is past due for replacement - sometimes it just needs a relearn but that’s assuming the fluid is at worst brown and not black)

It's has 94k 6 speed auto. And no I haven't changed atf yet. Would it be a good idea to clean the Selenoids to

What do you mean by “clean the solenoids”? - cleaning out a valve body requires disassembly and equipment.
At 96k miles, it might be to late to change the ATF for the first time, it can be all charged and burned.
