my truck just turned off while i was driving on the freeway so i had it towed home but now it will start and backfire and shut down and i couldn't pull any codes what could it be. thanks

I'd squirt some starting fluid into the intake while cranking it to rule out a fuel delivery issue and
probably suspect a faulty crankshaft position sensor as the next place to look
