Went to a used car lot to check out this 2015 tundra
120K miles

5.7L

has this ticking sound at idle cold start

the sound quite down after engine is warmed up, but it’s still present. to me that sounds like either lifters or exhaust leak, I am interested in this vehicle, please let me know what you think.

I think it's somebody else's problem

Could be fuel injectors, could be an exhaust leak, could be valve noise, could be something more serious. Since you need to have any used vehicle inspected by a good mechanic before purchase in any event, you might want to let a mechanic do a hand-on exam to determine the source of the noise as well as the truck's overall condition. If the dealer won't let you do this, run away. (The dealer will likely try to rip you off one way or another.)
