I found a 2015 Volvo XC60 with the 2.5 5 cylinder turbo and I was wondering if they are reliable? And if there not reliable then what Volvo engine should I look for?
I wouldn't buy. Used Volvos get very complex to work on as they age. A turbo is going to make the matter worse. I would look at something else.
Well depends on the price, mileage, and condition. Volvo has been making turbocharged cars for decades and my family friend has a 2015 XC60 with that same engine and it still runs well and they have been just spending money on regular maintenance. Personally, I would buy an older Volvo that has a NA 5 cylinder or 6 cylinder with an Aisin Transmissions since those are good. If ur heart is set on one, get a lower mileage one and have a mechanic check it out and if it's all good, don't overpay and just drive it and maintain it well, but don't expect it to last beyond 170k-200k miles because from there Volvos can get expensive to repair.
