Hi Scotty,

I have a 2016 Acura MDX with 109000km or about 67700miles.  I recently noticed higher consumption of engine oil than normal.  After, 8000km or 5000miles on this new syntethic oil - I started using synthetic when the vehicle turned 100000km or 60000km, I had to add almost a liter of engine oil. Is this nomal?  What should I do?  I thought at 60000miles honda 6 cylinder engine should not consume almost a litre of engine oil after distance of 5000miles. I don't think it's leaking anywehre, there is no oil on my garage floor.  Please let me know what to do?

Thank You!

What engine does it have?

Get a compression test to see if the piston rings are just worn out.  If you're using that much oil, it can only be one of two things; it's either leaking or it's burning.

Change the PCV valve and pray it helps.
