2016 Chevy Colorado Z71 1st problem rough idle at stop. Vapor box valve & purge valve replaced Service engine light on again. Replaced the gas cap Now when I fill the tank service engine light back on 1/2 tank, light off?

I haven't scanned it myself. I had a mechanic doing all the work & starting to doubt things? Only thing left to replace in what he says is the problem is the vapor canister. I hate to keep throwing money into something when the guy doing the work doesn't know what the problem is without going through the entire system at my expense using the process of elimination! Sounds like you need to find a mechanic who will do a proper diagnosis instead of throwing parts at the problem.
