2016 civic with oil dilution

Hi Scotty I now have a 2016 civic bought it last year in April only had 43,500 miles on it it’s the 1.5 liter I put 2500 miles with the castrol synthetic magnetic start up oil it started get the gas dilution I have no codes the pvc valve was stuck bought a new one took it for a ride on the freeway seemed to fix it but when I go on short drives gas still gets in the oil from what I’m finding I guess I have to live with it what are you’re thoughts thanks Bill

Use GF6 oil with the correct viscosity.

The oil dilution is mainly from the piston rings. They're not as tight as used to be on purpose to reduce friction in the cylinder wall to aid in better fuel economy. PCV is a regular maintenance item even if you weren't dealing with oil dilution. Change the oil and filter around 5k miles and you'll be fine. 


Unfortunately at 2500k it was down to 20% oil life
