Hello Scotty my dad just bought a 2016 Dodge Caravan with 110,000 miles on it and it’s starting to stutter every time we accelerate, its if we’re in a massage chair the whole car shakes but then stops for a second and rides well. Roughly around 50 to 70 mph on the highway and also sometimes when I press on the gas pedal and let it go it still revs up and speeds for a bit. Any idea what it could be? Thanks!
You can try changing the transmission fluid, but mostly likely the transmission is failed inside.
Do you have any codes?
Also, that is a common problem on those you might need a new transmission.
No codes but whenever it shudders the check engine light flashes on/off. Then when the shuddering stops the light just stays off
If the check engine like is flashing then you could have misfiring. Take a look at our FAQ.
