I posted a link above. A howl as you drive. I popped into neutral as advised by a Ford Mechanic. It continued.
Look carefully at the turbo charger, and check the color of the oil in the reservoir. I did look for any TSB's related to your problem, but found none. All I can do at this point is to wish you the best of luck with this diagnosis.
Where is the reservoir?
Scotty keep those videos on You Tube coming. I'm gonna try the B12 Chem tool fuel injector. Wish me luck!
Is it only during acceleration? Does it do this in the city? If it's not turbo noise that you haven't heard before, airbox or some hose disconnect or something then I found this to be pretty obscure but it's a tab so I'd check it out if it's not the turbo
