My wife's 2016 Ford Escape with 61000 miles transmission went out. I took it to my mechanic and he recommended that I
take it to AAMCO. They repaired it but now my wife says that it doesn't have the same get up and go like before. She says it takes longer, and you have to rev it higher to even get it up to 50.
What do you think? Did they put in the right transmission? Did they do it right?
What do you think?
Can you elaborate on "went out". With only 60k?
And I'm confused. Did they repair your transmission, or replace it?
Did they put in the right transmission?
what did they put in?
Did they do it right?
if they did, would it be running worse than before?
AAMCO is a chain of gyp joints that is best avoided, one of the worst reputations in the industry. For that matter almost no one rebuilds modern transmissions correctly, a factory rebuilt trans is the best bet.
Of course that info doesn't help you now since you're already involved with AAMCO. All you really can do is try to get them to put it right.
