2016 Highlander Steering Column “clicking “

So, we noticed this “clicking” in our steering column. It primarily will do it at full lock, as in parking lot driving, and parallel parking, but will occasionally do it at other times. They of course told us that it was normal and was not "performance or safety issue", and are going to do nothing about it. I have checked the intermediate shaft, joints are tight as new, no slop at all. I have felt the electrical steering assist box, and I can feel a little something in there. Have you seen this before.  They have, in essence, told us it is nothing to worry about, but we are. Value Any thoughts or opinions?

Do not turn the wheel to full lock. It's not good for the steering.
