Hey Scotty, I'm a 19 year old who is planning on getting a 2016 Honda Civic EX as my first car. I understand that the higher trimmed Civics with the turbocharged engine have oil dilution problems so that's why I want to chose the EX. I chose EX over the LX model since it has better tech. Could it be a good first car for me?

Civics are awesome 1st cars! I had a Civic as my 1st car and I still miss it. Going for the 2.0L engine on a 2016 Civic is a good idea - Honda didn't really fix the oil dilution until the 2019 model year. Get a mechanic to check it out and make sure it's in good shape. If everything checks out, you've got yourself a great little car.
