Hello,
My 2016 Honda Fit has the VTC rattle on coke start. It has probably been doing this for the last 20,000 kms but at first it wasn’t very often. Now it happens often, pretty much every cold start.
I watched a lot of content on doing this myself, however all the content is for accords, CRVs, etc. No video for the fit. I am sure it is quite similar overall but once you pop the fit hood you can see right away the engine cover and everything looks different, bolts are in different places, etc.
any advice on where I can learn to do this? I cannot find the Honda service manual online, I don’t know the torque specs for bolts, etc. If this was an Accord I would feel pretty confident because there is lots of great content out there….. but none for the 2016 Fit.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Iron T
Sounds like it's ready for a new timing chain set.

Have you confirmed if it’s the VTC actuator or a faulty starter? -
