2016 Honda Odyssey
I have what is called the "gremlin" problem. dash lights up with chinese characters, battery runs down (when car is off) I am told it may be the keyless entry control module. looking for guidance...thanks jim bowers

If you have a bilingual car, they very well might be Japanese. The Google translate app will do Japanese to English on labels and signs, so it should work.
But you should check your battery voltage, check for a bad ground and loose or corroded connectors, too. - these things can cause simultaneous electrical/electronic weirdness.
