I was able to find the code information with an internet search. With many modern vehicles having variable valve timing, so yes, a valve can get stuck.
Jeep DTC P105D
- Make:
- Jeep
- Code:
- P105D
- Definition:
- Intake Valve Stuck in High Lift Position
- Description:
- There are four Variable Valve Lift (VVL) Solenoids that control the operation of the Intake Rocker Arms for all six cylinders. See the figure and table below for the VVL Solenoid locations and cylinder control:
- Cause:
-
- INADEQUATE OIL PRESSURE TO ONE OR MORE ROCKER ARM
- VVL SOLENOID MECHANICAL FAILURE
- ROCKER ARM IMPROPERLY INSTALLED / INCORRECT CLEARANCE BETWEEN A ROCKER ARM AND THE HIGH LIFT (CENTER) CAMSHAFT LOBE
- WORN LOW LIFT CAM LOBE
- ROCKER ARM LOCK PIN STICKING / BINDING
Probably a stuck rocker arm from dirty or inadequate lubrication. Pull off the valve covers and see which one(s) is/are stuck. Douse it in PB Blaster and manually loosen it up. Change the oil and filter every 5000 miles max. It's worth a try!
