Hi Scotty,
I have a 2016 Mazda 6 GT 2.5 with 104K miles.
The AC makes a clicking noise when engaged and I figured out that the reason is because one of the radiator fans is loose -- the loose fan makes a click sound when the radiator fan engages on-and-off because the initial torque causes off balance rotation.
My question is can I just fix the fan, or do I need to replace the entire fan system? How would you go about this?
Thanks - Chad

What is loose? If there's slop in the fan itself (bad fan motor bearing) you have to replace it. If the fan assembly is just loose in its mounting then tighten itup.
Yes, the motor bearing is bad in one of the fans and it's loose. I'm wondering if I can just replace the bearing, or just the fan, or how I should go about this.
Just replace the fan. It may not even be feasible to replace the bearing in the motor.
