Scotty, my 2500 Ram 6.4 liter gas truck has 36000 miles on it. No problems yet & I love the truck. It's a daily driver, occasionally pulls our 7500 pound RV, runs good & the 6 speed automactic shifts good. Oil changes every 5-7000 miles (synthetic). I love the truck. I know you're not a fan of Chyrsler products. How many miles of reliable service do you think I
can expect before it becomes a money pit?

The 2500's generally don't have as much problems with the 6.4 compared to the 6.7 cummins (the cummins has a whole lot more emissions related components installed). The 6.4 is a reliable engine from what I have seen during my time at the dealership. Do your oil changes regularly and follow the maintenance schedule and you should be fine.
