Hello I am looking at 2016 Silverado 1500 lt with 90000 miles on it. It has 4.3 liters v6 engine with 6 speed automatic transmission. Is it reliable for long term. Your thoughts thanks
Scotty is not a fan of recent GM quality. It may start falling apart prematurely.
If you want long term reliability, get a Tundra instead. You’ll pay a premium, but it’ll work out cheaper in the long run, when you won’t have to fix things that break sooner on the Silverado.

agreed, any toyota can hit 300-400k miles if properly maintained. I would not recommend any GM to anyone unless you love throwing money away... hha
The engine and tranny are reliable. It's everything else around it that will start to fall apart. If you can put up with that, then the truck could be worth a several thousand.
