Hello,
I have a 2016 Toyota Camry LE (4-cyl) with ~ 71,000 miles.
It has a single-zone climate control.
Over the last two or three weeks, I have had the intermittent issue with the fan not turning on and blowing even when the fan knob is turned all the way to the right (max speed).
It has happened twice in about 3 weeks' time. I have to turn the knob to the OFF position a couple of times and then the fan will work properly again. It happened today, I was driving the car and the fan was working fine. I parked the car, turned it off, went into a store, and the fan wouldn't work when I cranked the car back up until I did the off/on thing a few times. The knob had been left where it was before I went into the store.
Any suggestions as to what may be causing the issue?
Thanks!
The switch on the control unit is malfunctioning. You may need to replace it if all the wires and connections are good.
Guessing the fan speed switch (the part the external knob attaches to) behind the plastic center console. But another common Camry failure; the blower motor resistor could also be beginning to fail.
