The OEM battery terminals are cheaply made stamped metal that bends and breaks easily. Difficult to loosen or tighten without bending and breaking. Because they can loosen, they get corrosion buildup. This killed the original battery and boy have prices gone up on those. The guy at Autozone told me that the cable assemblies are only available from Toyota. When I do a search for them I get a bunch of eBay sites selling used ones. I understand that 4 AWG copper is expensive, but is replacing the cheap terminals with new cheap terminals my best option?
BTW - Thanks for showing how easy it is to replace injectors and mass air flow sensors
Replace yours with something like this -
those aren't great. They leave the bare copper wires exposed
What terminal would you recommend @mmj?
@Doc: What tool would you use to remove the old wire and transfer to the new terminal?
