Hi Scotty and friends,
I am looking at a 2016 Highlander Limited with 72,000 miles. This one still has the 6 speed transmission. Is this a good model year or should I steer clear?
Thanks!
That was a good model year, and also the last year the 6-speed AT was offered on that 3.5L V6 (model year 2017 V6 went with the new 8-speed). Check VIN for recalls (and make sure they were addressed) and be sure to have a good, independent mechanic thoroughly check it out with his fancy scan tool and give his OK before moving forward.

If it passes a pre purchase inspection, that would be a great vehicle to own, provided you needed all that space and can accept the low gas mileage.
