Hello Scotty, I really enjoy your helpful videos.

My father recently purchased a 2017 F250 6.2L that just began to tick. This is a common issue all over the internet.  However it's difficult to discern what may be the best option to fix. 1) Replace with a stock Intake Manifold = very expensive and will have another potential issue 2) unplug or leave the IMRC Intake Manifold Runner Control in the open position with a "tune install " 3) do nothing and deal with the tick?! . Most suggest there will be a catalytic converter issues with unplug from too rich of exhaust, not sure I buy this explanation.  Some say Replace only the IMRC solenoid,  which doesn't address the wear of the rod/flapper being worn out in he plastic Manifold..Please Help!!! This is a video link yo the issue.

Well I'd have to see it in person but if you could leave it in the open position and retune it that would be the cheapest fixed if that was the problem. The problem is those engines have so many problems as they age and often it's with variable p Valve time problems And that cost a fortune to fix unless you want to just disable the whole variable valve timing assembly
