2017 Honda Civic
Bought this a year ago; paint flaking around hatchback window. Bare metal beneath. Seems unusual for a Honda. Was it repaired with inferior product?

It would have been helpful if you could post a picture of the paint flaking so not sure if yours is one of those with the paint issue or it's the result of a aftermarket repair job, but in general Honda has had issues with their paint.

Ah, thank you. The flaking just seems to go down about 16" length of the window, but not over the "fold" of the metal.
