2017 Mazda6 humming noise

I just bought a certified used 2017 Mazda6 with just under 80k miles on it a few days ago as my first car. I’m loving the car, it’s fun to drive, and super comfortable. Today on my way home to work, on the final stretch of road to my home I started hearing a humming sound off and on while accelerating. What could it be?

I did buy a warranty through them for 3 years and 36k miles that is supposed to cover everything, including suspension and all the major stuff.

But considering it passed a 172 point inspection, I shouldn’t have to do anything to it especially when I haven’t even put 100 miles on it.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Take the car to a competent independent mechanic for inspection. You should have done it before purchasing the car.

Not gonna lie, we don’t really have those around here.

It could be a wheel bearing. Find the noise first and make sure that it is the wheel bearing.

This doesn’t mean much..

Use this technique to pinpoint the source of the noise -

Took it for a drive tonight, very very mild vibration when it happens and it happens around 35-60 mph. I don’t notice it at lower or higher speeds. So yeah, probably a wheel bearing
