Have a 2017 Forester with 36k miles and the key gets stuck in the ignition after putting in park. I have to put it in drive and park again before it comes out.
Happens quite often and started a couple weeks ago.

It's a known issue in late model Subarus that have physical keys, the shift interlock mechanism is starting to fail. A friend with a 2017 Outback experienced the same problem and the Subaru dealer fixed it under the factory extended warranty that was purchased with the car. It required changing out the shift mechanism. (It was the dealer who stated this was a common problem.)
