Hello, I have 2017 toyota sienna with 70k miles on it, when I bought it had 68k miles. Yesterday I was driving and when I stoped suddenly steering wheel became very easy tu turn on the left side but much harder to turn on the right side. I though it was steering rack problem as left side has leaks, probably it is cut. Today I went to an electrician who checked car on computer and said it is steering wheel motor problem or something like that. What the hell shlild i do? Chamge both? I ordered steering rack boot so my father would change rubber part.

Is your dad a mechanic or a diy guy? And who is this electrician? You mean at a shop? So the guy pulled codes? Do you have those codes? And actually made sure there was no gunk just around to mess up the new boot? If your dad is the mechanic then get a proper diagnosis before shotgunning parts, it will save you some money and hassle.
