Hi Scotty I hope you are well, love your videos! I have a question about installing fog lights to a Toyota Tacoma SR. I have a 2017 Tacoma SR, at 95,000 miles, with no fog lights installed, and I wanted to add them to help me drive at night better. Is it a good idea to install fog lights to this specific model? I don’t want to go through a situation where the entire wiring harness needed to be replaced; it had happened to me due to Aftermarket LED Tail Lights that I had installed before.

...I bought a fog light installation kit from Amazon for $40
so you bought some cheap lights online again, and expect different results? I would be afraid too.
P.S. I bought a fog light installation kit from Amazon for $40 but I’m afraid to do the install.
Always use OEM equipment if you're going to be installing fog lights. Cheap, Chinese aftermarket stuff is bad idea. It's also not always a simple case of plugging stuff in. It didn't come with fog lights from the factory, so you need the wiring, a switch, and a fuse. Sometimes, they don't put fuses in from the factory if it didn't come with fog lights. Look in your owner's manual for fog lights and see whether or not the hardware could be installed. There will be tiny metal brackets if there's a slot for fog lights. Every fuse box in that generation vehicle is grossly the same, but contacts will vary based on installed equipment.
