- Scotty, I have a 2018 f150 with a 3.0 turbodiesel. It has 29,000 miles and has the 10 speed automatic transmission. My problem is that it shifts like crap, especially at lower speeds and from 2nd thru 6th gear. It's been to the dealer twice. They say there are no codes or obvious problems, then they reset the adaptive part of the pcm. I've explained that my commute is long and partly stop and go city driving and part highway driving, so the conditions change constantly. They don't seem to have a fix and I was told by the tech that I can't turn off the adaptive part, so any ideas or possibly a fix for this or am I doomed to have a truck that shifts like I'm being hit from behind ??!!! Thanks !

You need to reprogram the car. Some people suggest to use
Brenspeed tuned SCT programmer
but I’m not sure if it can permanently disable it or not.
Thank you, I will look into it !!
