2018 f150

Scotty I have a 5.0 v8 97 thousand miles  it has a cladder in it  does ford has a cladder sound to it. sounds a little bit like I have a diesel  whats wrong.I do agree with you on that stop and start  I hate it

Have you checked your oil since it started clattering? Wait around an hour after you drive, and make sure it's parked on a flat surface. Check the oil. It may be low, and it will quickly destroy your engine if you're low. I have a '79 Pontiac whose rear main seal went out while I was driving on the highway. I managed to save the engine despite the odds, because I always had oil in the trunk. It never tripped the low oil light, and it works. It was below the "Min" line.
