Hi Scott love your channel I have 2018 f 150 with the 5.0 coyote engine that started making knocking noise at 2000 miles I took it back to the dealership and they reflashed the pcm it fixed the problem but it came back 2 days later. I read on the different car forums that ford says this is normal and its not going to hurt the engine. Ford has been dealing with problem since 2013. Ford first thought it was the timing chain then they thought it was the cam fasers and they also replaced the engine but still had the same problem with the replacement engine. What are your thoughts .
Ford just tries to cover their own asses. They should not knock if they knock generally. It's probably the cam phasers. I don't know what they replaced. They could have put a used engine in who knows what they did. They often lie about the work that they did and sometimes they do nothing except reprogram and say they changed something. If I were you, I'd go to an independent mechanic to have them check it out
