If you have been watching Scotty for any length of time, you already know his response and that is to avoid the RAM 1500, and it’s true.  Quality, especially under FCA, has gone downhill for a while and if you planned on keeping the truck for as long as possible, then this is not the one.  See below for best 1/2 ton trucks to consider:

i drive a '19 with 81k, has not been too bad, radiator blew out and left me stranded, couple of check engine lights, 17 mpg (5.7) $2000 in repairs so far

tires wear out quickly, but may be an operator issue

for the difference in price not too bad, we get a new truck every 4 years
