Hello,
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra with the 5.3L V8 engine. (35K miles) When idling, it has a very noticeable vibration throughout the truck. Also, the rev. meter moves around from about 500 rpm to about 800 rpm constantly, and is not consistent. Is there any simple fix or should I just live with it.
Also, I have a slight transmission issue. When going up a hill at about 30-40 mph when the transmission downshifts (between 2nd 3rd or 4th gears I think) It sends a jolt through the truck. Some GM mechanics have told me that it is just a defect that all of this model of truck have. Should I be worried?

You are still well within the 5 year /60k powertrain warranty. Take it in.

do you have the 10 speed tranny?
