Hey Scotty, My wife owns a 2018 Rav 4 with the 2.5L with 42k miles. I do the oil/filter change myself every 5000 miles and use full synthetic 0W-20 oil with an OEM filter. The manual calls for 4.6 quarts of oil and I fill the oil filter housing up halfway with oil. Why does the engine make a rattling noise when I start it up after a fresh oil change, as if it is metal on metal for a few seconds... is this something to be concerned about, and will it cause damage? Thanks

Well that's because you still have to wait for the engine to recirculate the system with oil and that takes a sec since you just drained the old oil out. It might sound that way for a second but as long as you don't see any leaks and it goes away after a sec or so its fine. Sound like your treating the ol Rav4 great to me.
