Hi Scotty, this is Ilir from NC.
I have a 2019 4 runner Limited 2 wheel drive. I bought it new and I do have two problems with it.
1. At exactly 61mph the car has a vibration and a weaning noise from the back. It goes away when you increase the speed.
2. The engine has a noise like a diesel at all times. Is this normal.
I agree with James on both questions. #1 Take it to the dealer, it's in warranty. #2 The mechanical noise of the engine is loud. When it starts up it sounds like a mini version of the trash truck when it goes up and down our street. I have a 2019 ORP and I assume that is what you are describing.
#1. Take it to dealer, get it fixed. #2 Normal 4.0 noise.
For the first issue, check out the rear differential.
Scotty recently has a Video on the noise of the 4runners. Apparently, this is the design flaw and unfortunately, the dealers say it is normal but really, it is not normal.
