Hi,
2019 Acura TLX Advance
One or both of the front parking sensors are not working. The front sensor indicator detects an object in front of the car with a constant sound (Very close). I had someone walk around the front of the car and the two side going sensors detect the person so they seem to be working. I notice one of the two front sensors is set in further than the others but, that was like that since I bought the car and it was working for the past three years or so.
My question is how do I troubleshoot this? What tools do I need or tests that can be ran to eliminate causes other than to start replacing parts? My friend has an ultrasonic device that he uses to listen to bats and other creatures. I used it and could hear each of the four sensors pulsing. So, I think each of the four are emitting but, I don't have a way to determine if they receive unless they are working...
Thanks,
Cary
Unfortunately, you would need a dealer level scan tool to analyze that system. I have one. If you're interested in driving to Clarksville Tennessee I check them out for free. But that stuff is so complex computer generated information that I know of. No way to test it other than a $7,000 scan tool
Thanks for taking the time to answer me! Big Fan and watch your YouTube channel a lot. Good info!
Take care Cary
