Car stops while driving

I drive a 06 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited, it’s stopped on me a couple times while I was driving. It went on limp mode first, then turned off shortly after. Then the engine/oil/battery lights turned on, as well as the wrench symbol light. I’ve checked everything in my car and all seems well. I can’t even use my obd reader since the engine light doesn’t remain on, only when the car turns off. Don’t know what to do.

"Everything" covers a lot of territory. Please be more specific about what diagnostic steps have been taken so far.

Why would you think that? There can certainly be codes stored without the check engine light illuminating, and you can also check for freeze-frame data and look for problems in live data.

What is the car's mileage? (That's one of the items asked for in the posting instructions.)

when I said “everything” I meant I checked all fluid levels.

That's really not sufficient, low fluids can cause a variety of problems but in general would not cause random shutdowns. What about your battery, alternator, cables, and connectors? Random stalling can be caused by something as simple as a loose or corroded battery connection.

So the problem is when I’ve used my obd reader, it doesn’t give me any codes,

Depending on the nature of the problem a dealer-level scan tool may be needed. (The wrench light indicates a drivetrain failure, not an OBD2 emissions failure. An inexpensive generic scan tool may not be able to read drivetrain codes.)

Have you checked for any freeze-frame data that might be stored, or looked at live data for problems?

It has 116,314 miles. And it’s an automatic. And when I said “everything” I meant I checked all fluid levels. So the problem is when I’ve used my obd reader, it doesn’t give me any codes, yet the car keeps turning off

I have not checked for any corroded cables nor any freeze frame data yet. I will go ahead and look into that first and keep an update. Thank you. 🙏🏻
